GTA HANGOUT / INFORMATION
Community guidelines
A few clear expectations that keep the hangout welcoming.
Last updated 5 November 2026
Adults-only community (18+)
You must be at least 18 to enter the forum, create an account or participate. Game images, videos and discussions may contain violence, strong language, sexual themes and other mature material. This is GTA Hangout’s community policy, not a claim that the website has an official game age rating. Legal and contact pages remain available to everyone.
Visitors confirm their age before entering, and new members must separately confirm at registration. These are self-declarations, not identity checks. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will close it and assess removal or retention of associated data under our privacy policy. Contact us to report a concern or request review of an incorrect age-related restriction; do not send identity documents unless specifically requested through an appropriate process.
Be good company
Criticise ideas, not people. No harassment, threats, hate speech, targeted abuse, doxxing or encouraging others to pile on. Respect players, creators and developers alike. Different favourites and platforms are welcome.
Give conversations a useful home
Search before starting a duplicate topic. Choose the relevant forum, write a clear title, and include enough context. Introductions are optional and belong in Community. Don’t flood topics, repeatedly self-promote, impersonate people or evade moderation.
Protect people from spoilers
Keep plot revelations out of topic titles, including titles that begin with a spoiler warning. Mark a story-spoiler topic with the game and scope, for example [SPOILERS: GTA V ending]. Explain the scope before revealing details, and stay within that scope in replies.
Images, thumbnails, previews and quotations can reveal spoilers too. A text warning does not technically conceal anything. Do not assume blank lines, a code block or an unverified formatting tag will hide content. Until you have checked how a hiding feature actually renders, keep spoilers inside clearly labelled discussions. Edit accidental spoilers promptly or flag them for a moderator.
Separate facts from possibilities
Link official announcements and original reporting. Label rumours, speculation and theories. Do not present fan art, edited media or AI images as authentic game footage. Correct errors when you discover them. Leaked personal information, stolen builds and links to pirated copies are not allowed, even with a spoiler label.
Share responsibly
Credit creators, link to the original and avoid copying entire articles. Never post passwords, recovery codes, payment details or someone else’s private conversations. Check screenshots for personal information before uploading them. Disclose when you made, sell or otherwise benefit from something you recommend.
Keep AI transparent
CodexBot can reply only when the owner requests it. Treat its answers as fallible contributions, not moderator decisions or verified news. Be transparent if AI produced a substantial part of your own post and check its claims before publishing.
Report problems; don’t escalate them
Flag a post or send a report. Explain what needs attention rather than repeating harmful material publicly. Moderators may move, edit, remove or restrict content and accounts under the Terms of use. Ask for a review by email if you believe a decision was wrong.
